River Trace Aeration Alert

Our Maintenance Staff is performing the spring aeration of the greens today.  The course will likely re-open tomorrow, Thursday March 9th.

MAC/MCHS Basketball Leagues – Thank you to all Involved

Meade County LogoOver the course of 18 weeks we have had 282 participants involved in both boys and girls basketball from ages 5-12.  There are a lot of moving parts and I want to take a moment to thank some of the key people who helped make this happen:

  • MCHS Staff – Head Coaches Jason Tripure and Dina Hackert:  Assistants Kevin Robinson, Ned Cross, Casey Dawson, Clay Tanner, Michelle Miller, Scarlett Powers
  • MCHS Athletic Director – Todd Clanton
  • Meade County School Administrators, Gym Coordinators, and Custodians
  • Mike Schwartz, Kyle Melloy, and Chad Sipes (Referees)
  • ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEER COACHES

 

I have been very pleased with our leagues this year and look forward to another great season for 2017-2018.

8th Annual MAC Matters Gala Update

The MAC Staff and Board are excited to announce that Tuesday, May 9th will be the date of the 8th Annual MAC Gala.  This year’s keynote speaker will be announced in just a few weeks.   Previous guests of honor include Actor & Comedian Chris Tucker, US Track & Field Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Johnson, entrepreneur and philanthropist Todd Wagner, tennis great Monica Seles, solo artist and member of the Eagles Don Henley, former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather, and PGA golfer Kenny Perry.

The annual goal of the Gala is to raise capital for operations, expansion of facilities, and to fund the MAC Financial Assistance program that will provide fitness and recreational opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and incomes.  Our last seven MAC Galas have not only been a tremendous source of funding for the MAC project, but have produced major accomplishments.  The emcee for this event will be Kari Wagner, a Meade County native, whose passion for giving back and love for her community have made her a MAC advocate since its inception.

 

We look forward to another great event in 2017.  In addition to the presentation with our keynote speaker, the Gala will feature a gourmet dinner and complimentary cocktail service.
