The Meade Activity Center (MAC) and River Trace Golf hosted its first Speed Golf event on Labor Day, September 1st. Speed Golf is a combination of a player’s score and the time it takes to make it around the golf course on foot. The MAC’s focus on health & wellness make this format a great fit for their organization. Most players carried 4-5 clubs during their run, but some even opted to go with a single club. 12 players participated in the inaugural event, and due to its immediate popularity the MAC will look to host another Speed Golf event in the near future. Team Relays, Scrambles, and Alternate Shot are other options that can be incorporated with Speed Golf.
