The Couch to 5K Program
Is your New Year Resolution to get in better shape? This 10-week program is designed to take a “beginner” to exercise or running and train to complete a 5K (3.1 mile) course! Led by Kim DeVries, P.T. wtih KORT Rehab, this program is designed to motivate, train for a 5K, and discuss general wellness topics, such as nutrition, stretching, strength training, running gear, etc. The class will meet weekly for a 15 min discussion, followed by a training session. A training schedule will be provided as well, for the weekdays between meetings. The culminating event will be to complete a 5K at Buttermilk Falls on Saturday, March 19th! This program will meet every Saturday morning at 8am at the MAC, January 9th-March 12th.
Saturdays: Jan 9 – Mar 12 (5K on Mar. 19)
Time: 8:00 am
Cost: $20 (Includes T shirt and 5K entry fee)
